The Monte Carlo was revived for the 1995 model year, replacing the two door Lumina, and took its design from a 1992 concept car of the same name. It was exclusively a coupe on the front wheel drive W platform shared with the Buick Regal, Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and Pontiac Grand Prix, in LS and Z34 trims, and had dual airbags and ABS. It was the last mass produced six passenger two door sedan offered for sale. Its model years run from 1995 to 1999.
