2001 Chevrolet Metro

Automobiles

Production ended after model year 2001. The Chevrolet Metro was used in the 17th Biennale of Sydney in 2010 in an experiment by the artist Cai Guo Qiang, in which nine Chevrolet Metros were suspended in the air. Beginning in late 2003 as a model year 2004 car, the Daewoo Kalos, marketed as the Chevrolet Aveo, effectively replaced the Metro and Firefly. The 2001 Metro was the last model year, built in Ingersoll, Ontario, with the nameplate retired afterward.
