At the end of 29 December 2023 production of the Cruze in Argentina was discontinued as well, closing a nameplate that General Motors produced from 2008 through 2023. In 2021 the unit number 150,000 was produced at the Argentine plant, and in 2016 the plant had been the subject of three one hour episodes of Mega Fabricas from Nat Geo. The Argentine plant had produced its 150,000th Cruze in 2021, and after the last car in December 2023 the Chevrolet Cruze name was no longer in production anywhere.
