In 1994 twenty five Corvette convertibles were delivered to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to serve in the first running of the Brickyard 400 as festival and parade cars. The ZR1 stayed nearly unchanged through this period, with the C4 as a whole in the late part of its generation. The LT1 small block, introduced in 1992, gave the base car 300 horsepower in the middle of the generation, and the LT4 would follow for 1996.
