In 1987 the parking brake was moved lower and toward the rear of the car, between the door sill and the driver's seat, so that getting in and out was easier. It was also the first year of the B2K Callaway Twin Turbo, a high performance version of the Corvette that Callaway Cars sold under license from Chevrolet from 1987 to 1991. The fastback coupe had the glass hatchback and retractable headlights of the C4, and the Doug Nash four plus three manual with automatic overdrive on the top three gears was still offered.
