The third generation Colorado and Canyon debuted in July 2022 for the 2023 model year, available only with a crew cab and a single bed length. Despite being a mid size truck, in some dimensions it is somewhat bigger than the full size Silverado, being built around the same chassis and frame while sharing the same L3B engine. The Motor Trend 2024 Truck of the Year was the Colorado. The 2023 Colorado was the third generation, shown in July 2022, a crew cab truck.
