In 2003 Holden launched a revised and facelifted Statesman and Caprice, the WK, which was reflected in the Middle Eastern versions of the Chevrolet Caprice for the 2004 model year. The Chevrolet Caprice of this period was marketed in markets that included Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, as a civilian and police car, built by Holden in Australia. The WH series had been engineered for both left and right hand drive so that cars for the Middle East and for Australia could be built from one design.
