The fifth generation Camaro brought the nameplate back after a hiatus that followed the end of production in 2002. A concept car shown in January 2006 grew into the production car, which began to be built on March 16, 2009 at the Oshawa plant in Canada and went on sale in April 2009 as a 2010 model. A convertible followed for 2011, the supercharged ZL1 for 2012 and the Z/28 for 2014. Its model years run from 2010 to 2015.
