Chevrolet Bel Air (third generation, 1958)

Automobiles

For 1958 Chevrolet moved its cars to the B body, redesigned to be longer, lower and heavier than the 1957 cars, with the 348 cubic inch V8 now offered as an option. The Bel Air gained a halo model in 1958, the Impala, available only as a hardtop coupe and convertible in its introductory year, and the Nomad station wagon name returned as a premium four door wagon without the unique styling of the 1955 to 1957 Nomads. It lasted one model year.
