The Biarritz nomenclature was finally dropped from the sales literature of the 1965 Fleetwood Eldorado, probably because there was no need to distinguish the convertible from the long defunct Eldorado Seville and Brougham. The elevated tailfins became slightly downward sloping, and sharp, distinct body lines replaced the rounded look, on the same 129.5 inch wheelbase, and the Eldorado carried the Fleetwood designation from 1965 through 1972.
