Cadillac DeVille (sixth generation, 1985 to 1993)

Automobiles

The sixth generation DeVille marked a sea change for General Motors and Cadillac. Under the direction of Irv Rybicki, General Motors completely redesigned the DeVille, downsizing it yet again, foregoing the rear drive configuration and introducing a new front drive platform, the C platform. Production of the new C body commenced in December 1983 at the Orion Assembly Plant in Orion Township, Michigan. Its model years run from 1985 to 1993.
