The X7 continued in 2026 as the full size luxury flagship of BMW's SUV range, in its facelifted form, with the electric iX7 planned for introduction in 2027 or 2028 and to be manufactured at the Spartanburg plant in the United States. Although some vehicles from Russia were registered as 2025 and 2026 model year cars, they kept the pre facelift 2022 exterior design. The X7 had been unveiled in 2018 and was in its seventh year.
