The second generation X4, the G02, was revealed online in February 2018 as the successor to the F26, with sales commencing in July 2018. In North America the 2019 BMW X4 went on sale in the second quarter of 2018 as an early 2019 model year vehicle, and it was available in either xDrive30i or M40i variants. It remained a Sports Activity Coupe. The G02 was larger than the F26 and sold alongside the X3 G01.
