Production of the F10 M5 ended in October 2016. To celebrate the M5's 30th anniversary in 2015, BMW built 300 special edition models, named 30 Jahre BMW M5, becoming available in July 2016, painted in a multi layered Pure Metal Silver Metallic colour with extra trim and a sportier suspension. The F90 M5 followed in 2017. The 30 Jahre edition celebrated three decades of the M5. The F10 M5 was the fifth M5.
