In 2024 the second generation 8 Series continued in its facelifted form, as the G15 coupe, G14 convertible and G16 Gran Coupe, and the M8 was available in coupe, convertible and Gran Coupe forms. Sales continued from the Dingolfing plant, six years after the 8 Series nameplate returned in 2018 to replace the F12 6 Series. The nameplate was due for withdrawal at the end of the generation without a successor being planned.
