A facelifted version of the G70 7 Series and the i7 was unveiled on 22 April 2026 for the 2027 model year, with sales beginning in summer 2026. The G70 had been built at Dingolfing since 1 July 2022, so this was the first update of the seventh generation, which had a 2026 model range ahead of the new 2027 cars. The facelift was shown at the same time as updates to the i7, and the 7 Series had by then been on sale since the spring of 2022.
