The updated G11 and G12 7 Series were unveiled on 16 January 2019 as 2020 model year cars and went on sale in April 2019. The facelift prominently features a larger grille, and so it gave the car a more imposing look. It was the mid life update of the sixth generation 7 Series built at Dingolfing. The unveiling in January 2019 introduced the cars as 2020 model year models, and they carried hybrid, diesel and petrol engines like the pre facelift cars.
