In 2006 the E65 was produced in the BMW Group Plant Dingolfing in Germany, as well as in complete knock down form for local markets in Thailand, and it carried the facelift to the end of its run. The Hydrogen 7, the E68, which used a hydrogen internal combustion engine, was built in the regular engine production at Dingolfing. The CKD assembly for local markets was conducted in Thailand and other countries. It was one of the last full years of the E65.
