A facelifted version of the 6 Series Gran Turismo was unveiled alongside the facelifted 5 Series on 27 May 2020. The G32 had been outside of the United States since the 2019 model year and continued to be sold in Europe and other markets with the 630i, 640i xDrive, 620d and 630d engines, as a practical large liftback alternative to the 5 Series. The facelift was shown together with the 5 Series on the same day, 27 May 2020, and both cars shared their platform.
