In 2023 the G30 5 Series saloon was replaced by the G60, which was revealed on 24 May 2023 with production starting at Dingolfing on 21 July. The G31 Touring continued to be built, however, until the G61 replaced it in 2024. The G30 had been the 5 Series since 2016 and thus ended its time as the main saloon. The G60 was revealed in May, began production in July at Dingolfing and sales commenced in October 2023, which ended the production of the G30 saloon.
