After the introduction of the F30 and F31 in February 2012, the E90 and E91 saloons and estates were phased out, though the E91 estate was built until May 2012 and the E92 and E93 coupe and convertible stayed on sale. The coupe and convertible were later introduced than the saloon, and so were not due for replacement yet. Final E91 estate production ended in May 2012. The coupe and convertible, introduced later, stayed in production through the 2013 model year.
