2025 was the first full year of the F70 1 Series, the fourth generation, a front wheel drive five door hatchback made at the Leipzig plant. It shares the UKL2 platform with the F74 2 Series Gran Coupe, which was revealed in October 2024, and it is the smallest car BMW sells in most markets, the entry level car at the bottom of the BMW range. It was the first full model year of the car, built at Leipzig, after the market launch of October 2024.
