1969 Austin FX4

Automobiles

With the sudden demise of the intended replacement in 1969, the FX4 was revised and updated to address the shortcomings of the original cab. The replacement project had been a new design that was cancelled, which left the 1958 car in production for years more. The updated cab was the base for the later FX4D diesel model, which was available from 1971 through 1982 under Austin and British Leyland. Austin had by then been merged into British Leyland.
