The Austin versions of the ADO16 remained in production in the UK until June 1974, and the final British ADO16, a Vanden Plas Princess 1300, left the factory on 19 June 1974. When British Leyland replaced the ADO16 it was replaced variously by the Austin Maxi in 1969, the Morris Marina in 1971 and the Austin Allegro in 1973. Production reached 2.3 million between 1962 and 1974. The Austin 1300 was the last of the Austin ADO16 cars in production.
