The Volkswagen Up! is a city car introduced by Volkswagen in 2011, developed to reestablish the brand in the smallest vehicle segment after years without a genuine city car in its lineup. Built on a dedicated small-car platform later shared with badge-engineered siblings from SEAT and Skoda, it was offered with three or five doors and was praised for interior space and driving refinement unusually good for its size class.
