Suzuki V-Strom 800

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Suzuki V-Strom 800 is a dual sport motorcycle produced by Suzuki that was presented at the EICMA show in 2022. It includes the more off road version, the V-Strom 800 DE, short for Dual Explorer. Within the V-Strom family it sits between the 650, with 645 cc, and the 1050, with 1037 cc. Unlike earlier V-Strom models and despite the name, it has a two cylinder in line engine with four valves per cylinder, two overhead camshafts and two balance shafts, with crank pins offset by 270 degrees, water cooling and ride by wire throttle control. It has a six speed gearbox with a quickshifter, four stage slip control, three driving modes and a TFT colour display, and fuel consumption on the WMTC cycle is 4.4 litres per 100 km from a 20 litre tank. The frame is tubular steel, the front wheel is 19 inches or 21 inches on the DE, and suspension travel is 150 mm or 220 mm on the DE.
