The Suzuki SX4 is a subcompact car and crossover that Suzuki has produced since 2006 as successor to the Aerio. The first generation came as a hatchback and sedan, the hatchback also in four-wheel drive, and was developed under a joint agreement with Fiat signed in April 2003 and styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro's Italdesign studio; Fiat sold it in Europe as the Sedici. It was introduced in Japan on 1 December 2005 and internationally at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2006, and it was built in Hungary, India, Indonesia, China and Japan. The second generation, the SX4 S-Cross of 2013, became a subcompact crossover SUV, and the SX4 sedan was replaced by the Ciaz. The name abbreviates Sports X-over 4 Seasons.
