Suzuki Splash

Automobiles

The Suzuki Splash is a city car introduced in 2008 that Suzuki developed jointly with Opel, which sold its own version as the Agila, branded Vauxhall Agila in the United Kingdom. It debuted as a concept at the 2006 Paris Motor Show and in production form at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. In Europe it sat below the Swift on a shortened Swift wheelbase, while in Japan, where it went on sale on 20 October 2008 with a 1.2 litre engine, it sat between the Swift and the Solio. European engines were a three-cylinder 1.0 litre, two four-cylinder 1.2 litre petrols and a Fiat 1.3 litre MultiJet turbo-diesel. Maruti Suzuki sold it in India as the Maruti Ritz because Ford had already registered the name Splash there, and more than 200,000 Ritz sold in the first 37 months.
