Suzuki GV1400 Cavalcade

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Suzuki GV1400 Cavalcade was a luxury touring motorcycle available from 1985 to 1988 in North America and until 1991 in Europe. There were three model lines, the GT, LX and LXE, each gaining more standard features, and Suzuki was the last major maker to introduce a luxury tourer. In 1985 the Cavalcade was the largest, heaviest and most powerful luxury tourer. It has a 16 valve DOHC 1360 cc V4 with hydraulic lash adjusters, shaft drive and liquid cooling with a thermostatic electric fan. The LX and LXE added self cancelling turn signals, an automatic rear pneumatic levelling system, electronic cruise control, a radio and cassette deck in a housing that resembles a fuel tank, adjustable floorboards and handlebars and an adjustable windshield. There are key locked storage boxes for the rider and the passenger and a top case that takes a full face helmet.
