The Suzuki GSX250F Across is a 249 cc sport motorcycle that Suzuki produced from 1990 until 1998. It is mostly known as a practical sports touring bike because it has a rear petrol tank and an enclosed helmet storage area where the tank usually sits. The X913 decals on early bikes referred to the project name of the motorcycle during development. Its 248 cc four stroke DOHC 16 valve four cylinder engine revs to 16,500 rpm and makes 40 or 45 PS depending on the year, with 45 PS in the 1990 to 1993 models and a restriction to 40 PS later to follow changes in Japanese law. It handles lightly, uses little fuel and sits comfortably, which made it a popular first motorcycle, although its steel frame makes it about 20 kg heavier than most aluminium 250 cc rivals and its 12 litre fuel tank is small. It was officially sold in Japan and Australia.
