Suzuki GSR600

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Suzuki GSR600 is a 599 cc motorcycle that Suzuki introduced as a streetfighter styled middleweight street bike using the 2004 GSX-R600 engine, retuned for more usable midrange power and higher torque. The rear shock rebound and compression are adjustable. In 2001 Suzuki had unveiled the B-King concept with a tuned Hayabusa engine, but the B-King did not reach production until 2007, so the GSR600, unveiled in December 2005 with very similar styling, was at first nicknamed the Baby B-King. It carried parts normally kept for flagship models, such as the four piston brake system also used on the GSX-R600. The first model reached dealers in January 2006, the GSR600S variant of mid 2006 added a windshield and carbon fibre trim, and ABS arrived in 2007 as the GSR600A. A Japanese market GSR400 with a 399 cc engine became available to selected countries in mid 2006.
