Suzuki GF250

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Suzuki GF250 was a water cooled, four cylinder, four stroke road motorbike produced in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Its engine block and transmission were the same as those of the GSX-R250, but it did not rev as high, with a 13,000 rpm redline, and it had finer points such as adjustable suspension damping, two pot front brakes and a single rear brake. Top speed was about 180 km/h, and it came in one seat and two seat versions. It was introduced in 1985 as a redesign of the GS250FW, with a completely new, lighter frame, a seat height lowered to 750 mm and a rear disc brake. Early models had no fairing, while from 1988 there was a small frame mounted half fairing, twin front discs, a Deca Piston sticker for four pistons per front disc, more power, larger inlet valves, a higher compression ratio and a four into one exhaust. The Across succeeded it.
