The Suzuki Dzire is a subcompact notchback sedan that Suzuki has made and sold since 2008, mainly for India, as the sedan counterpart of the Swift hatchback across four generations. It began as the Swift Dzire and its length was cut below four metres to qualify for the Indian sub 4 metre tax class. The third generation of 2017 dropped the Swift name in India, though it is still marketed as the Swift Sedan in Colombia and Guatemala, and it moved to the HEARTECT platform. The fourth generation was launched on 11 November 2024 and has since reached Laos, the Middle East, the Philippines and South Africa. Engines have included petrol, a Fiat sourced diesel and CNG versions. It became the first Maruti Suzuki model to win five Global NCAP stars for adult occupants.
