Suzuki Boulevard S83

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Suzuki Boulevard S83 is a motorcycle that Suzuki renamed in 2005 from the Intruder 1400, the 83 standing for the 83 cubic inches of its engine. It was formerly the Intruder VS1400, introduced in 1987, and kept the model designation VS1400. The 1360 cc V-twin produced 72 horsepower at 4,800 rpm and 85 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm, figures described as impressive against similar sized bikes of the time, and like the Intruder it had dual carburettors joined by a sync rod. The Intruder 1400 went from a four-speed to a five-speed transmission in 1998, which carried through the S83 years from 2005 to 2009, and the final year of production for the S83 was 2009, with black plus gray, dark blue or gold as the colours of each year.
