The Suzuki Baleno is a nameplate that Suzuki has used since 1996 for several different subcompact cars. From 1996 to 2002 the Baleno sold in Europe and Asia-Pacific was a rebadged Cultus Crescent, which was also produced and sold in India as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno until 2007. After the Aerio arrived in 2001 the name was dropped in Europe and Asia Pacific and stayed in use only in Indonesia, where a rebadged Aerio sedan was sold as the Baleno Next-G from 2003 to 2007, followed by a rebadged SX4 sedan marketed as the Neo Baleno from 2008 to 2010. The name returned in 2015 for a five-door hatchback.
