SS Doric was a British ocean liner of the White Star Line, built by Harland and Wolff in Belfast with her keel laid in 1921, her hull launched on 8 August 1922 and her delivery on 29 May 1923. At 16,484 gross register tons and 183 metres long she was a medium-sized, slow liner designed for the Canadian routes, the company second and last ship to be powered exclusively by turbines after Vedic, sailing at an average of 15 knots. She served the Canadian routes from June 1923 until 1932, then turned to cruises and stayed in the fleet when White Star merged with Cunard. A collision with another ship in September 1935 left her severely damaged and economically irreparable despite her youth, and she was scrapped in November 1935 at Newport, Monmouthshire.
