The Sikorsky S-43, often called the Baby Clipper, was a 1930s American twin-engine amphibious flying boat monoplane produced by Sikorsky Aircraft. It first flew in 1935 as a smaller version of the S-42 Clipper, carried between 18 and 25 passengers and had a separate forward cockpit for its two crew. Pan American World Airways used it mainly for flights to Cuba and within Latin America. On 14 April 1936 an S-43 piloted by Boris Sergievsky, with Igor Sikorsky aboard, set an altitude record for amphibious aircraft of 27,950 feet over Stamford, Connecticut. About 53 were built.
