The Siemens Vectouro, previously sold as the Viaggio Comfort and Viaggio Next Level, is a family of passenger trains built by Siemens Mobility from 2023. The train sets run as fixed formations of either day or night carriages at up to 230 kilometres per hour and are hauled by a separate locomotive. In April 2021 a Siemens and Škoda consortium won the framework contract to supply 180 express carriages to České dráhy, and in July 2021 Austrian Federal Railways chose Siemens for 21 day-and-night long-distance sets. A Viaggio Next Level set began Nightjet service on 10 December 2023, hauled by Taurus locomotives rather than the Vectrons the sets were designed for, and the first Railjet NG entered regular service between Munich and Bologna on 8 April 2024. Nightjet sets were designed for 250 km/h but are limited to 230.
