Piper PA-34 Seneca

General Aviation and Light Aircraft

The Piper PA-34 Seneca is a twin-engined light aircraft built in the United States by Piper from 1971 to 2019 and used for personal and business flying and for multi-engine rating training. It was developed from the single-engined Cherokee Six, and the prototype Twin Six first flew on 25 April 1967. The PA-34-200 Seneca was certified on 7 May 1971, and the turbocharged Seneca II, III, IV and V followed, each keeping counter-rotating engines that remove the critical-engine problem of many light twins. Embraer also built the Seneca under licence in Brazil as the EMB-810, and the Brazilian Air Force flew it as the U-7.
