The Norton Commando is a British motorcycle produced from 1967 to 1977, built around a parallel twin engine mounted in a rubber isolated frame system the company called Isolastic, designed to reduce the vibration that troubled earlier twin cylinder motorcycles. It was named Machine of the Year by readers of Britain's Motor Cycle News for several consecutive years and is regarded as one of the last great British motorcycles before Japanese manufacturers came to dominate the market.
