The NedCar Access was a concept car shown by NedCar at the 1996 Geneva Motor Show to demonstrate the design and engineering abilities of the Born factory, which normally assembled cars for Volvo and Mitsubishi. Contemporary trade coverage describes it as a minivan-style vehicle produced as a joint effort between NedCar's in-house Product Design and Engineering group and Dutch suppliers. Wikipedia describes it as a five-door hatchback about 4.25 metres long, built from a mix of aluminium and plastics and fitted with a four-cylinder petrol engine. It was made specifically to show design and production possibilities, and NedCar's president is quoted as saying there was less than a five percent chance that it would go into production. It stayed a one-off show car.
