The Mercedes-Benz O305 is a city bus that Mercedes-Benz produced from 1967 into the mid-1980s, built with a rear mounted engine and a boxy, standardized body that West German and other European transit operators adopted widely. Its straightforward, durable design made it one of the most common city buses in West Germany during its production run and influenced the layout of later Mercedes-Benz city bus generations.
