Maruti Suzuki Zen

The Maruti Suzuki Zen is a five-door hatchback that Suzuki's Indian subsidiary Maruti Suzuki produced and sold in India from 1993 until 2006. The first generation was introduced on 21 May 1993 as a widened version of the Suzuki Cervo Mode, twenty centimetres longer and ten wider with a lot of unique sheet metal, and it used an all-aluminium 993 cc four-cylinder engine. The name is an acronym for Zero Engine Noise and also echoes the Japanese word for complete. Built in India, it was exported to Europe from 1994 to 2004 and to other countries, often sold as the Suzuki Alto, and was called India's first world car. The second generation, the Zen Estilo, arrived in December 2006.
