The Martin PBM Mariner is an American twin engine flying boat that entered United States Navy service in 1940, used throughout the Second World War for long range maritime patrol, anti-submarine warfare and air-sea rescue in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. It served alongside the smaller PBY Catalina as one of the Navy's principal patrol flying boats and remained in service into the early 1950s.
