The Lola T70 was a sports prototype developed by the British manufacturer Lola Cars in 1965 as the successor to the Mk6. Lola built an aluminium monocoque chassis for it, typically powered by large American V8 engines. The car was popular in the middle and late 1960s, with more than 100 examples built in three versions: an open-roofed Mk I, then the Mk II and Mk III spyders, followed by a Mk III coupe and finally a slightly updated Mk IIIB. Broadley's T70 and its successors were used all over the world, from the World Championship for Makes to the Can-Am series, until 1973. In the Can-Am series the T70 was replaced by the lighter Lola T160.
