The Lola T280 and its evolutions, the T282, T284 and T286, were three-litre Group 5 and later Group 6 sports prototype race cars designed by Eric Broadley, John Barnard and Patrick Head and built by the British constructor Lola for World Sportscar Championship racing between 1972 and 1976. A rule change for 1972 merged Group 6 prototypes into Group 5 with a three-litre engine limit, and the T280 used a Ford Cosworth DFV engine as a structural element of the chassis. Two cars were set up by the Ecurie Bonnier of the driver Jo Bonnier for 1972, and one of them was destroyed in the accident at Le Mans in which Bonnier was killed. Only one three-litre T282 was produced, bought by Scuderia Filipinetti.
