Isuzu Journey

Buses and Road Mass Transit Vehicles

The Isuzu Journey is a minibus that Isuzu built from 1970 to 2021, offered mainly as a city bus and a tourist coach. The name first appeared on the 1970 Journey S, an Isuzu Elf 150 truck fitted with a fifteen seat bus rear. In 1973 the 26 seat Journey M and the longer 29 seat Journey L followed on Elf chassis with diesel engines of 2.8 and 3.6 litres, and a much larger 53 seat rear-engine bus, the Journey K, appeared in 1972 and was replaced by the Isuzu Erga Mio in 1999. From 1993 the Journey L and M were replaced by a rebadged Nissan Civilian, and the Journey-J, sold from 2003 to 2011, was a rebadged Hino Liesse. Its competitors included the Mitsubishi Fuso Rosa, Mazda Parkway, Nissan Civilian and Toyota Coaster.
