The Isuzu Erga is a heavy-duty single-decker bus that Isuzu produces through the J-Bus joint venture. It is sold mainly as a public transit bus, either as a complete bus or as a bus chassis for outside bodybuilders, and J-Bus builds it in Japan. Buyers can choose a step-entrance version with one or two steps, or a low-floor version with no step, in Type A and Type B layouts. The model list in the article runs from the KL-LV280 series of 2000, which used the 8PE1 engine, through later 6HK1 engine series in 2004, 2007, 2010 and 2012, and compressed natural gas variants use separate engines coded 8PF1, 6HF1 and 6HA1. It sits in Isuzu's range of buses beside the smaller Gala and Cubic.
