Isuzu C

Buses and Road Mass Transit Vehicles

The Isuzu C was an integral heavy-duty bus that Isuzu produced from 1980 to 1984, replacing the earlier BU-series. It differed from the BU mainly in passing the stricter Japanese emission standards introduced in 1979, and it was sold primarily as a city bus. The bodies were made by other manufacturers, including Kawasaki, Fuji, Nishiko and Kitamura, and by Isuzu's competitor Hino until 1983, to meet the requirements of the Japanese National Railways, who were the only customer for this type. Models were offered with leaf or air suspension, with the DH100H, 6QA2, E120H and 6RB2 engines and wheelbases from 4.7 to 6.0 metres. Its successor was the Isuzu Cubic.
