The International Harvester Scout is a compact sport utility vehicle produced from 1961 to 1980, built by the agricultural and truck manufacturer International Harvester as a rugged, simple four wheel drive vehicle to compete with the Jeep. It is credited as one of the vehicles that established the American sport utility vehicle market later joined by the Ford Bronco and Chevrolet Blazer.
